Festival of Salt and Light
For hundreds of years Maori have visited our private beach at Gore Bay to fish, rest and prepare for the journey ahead. The Festival of Salt and Light wants to continue that tradition. It’s a space to meet people, tell stories, deepen your faith, ponder the meaning of life, relax in the last throws of Summer, and consider where God wants to take you over the year ahead.
Picture this: sundrenched days & starry nights, rolling waves & cafes in strange places, sleeping under canvas & cooking with gas, and lots of happy people. All set in a natural rural amphitheatre with our own private beach just down that-a-way.
We’ve pulled together a roster of guest presenters committed to expanding your spirit and challenging your brain. Including out-of-towners Justin Duckworth & Ruby Duncan, and local heroes Scottie Young, Carolyn Robertson, Josh Taylor, Jolyon White, Charlotte Boyes & Chris Spark.
